TI chose Pearl Buck's quote on creativity as I felt it applied so much to us. "We are not fully alive unless we create!" In keeping with this, I cut loose of my inhibitions that I had to have perfect letterforms and allowed the lettering of the text to be a freestyle script. When my hand felt like flourishing I let it, tossing aside that rule so ingrained in my brain by past instructors that flourishing should not be done in the middle of the text.
